Rev. Dr. Robert J. Duncan, Jr.
Rob has been described as postmodern renaissance man and enjoys multitasking in multiple disciplines; teaching himself new skills as they are needed for 'just in time' projects which ride on the bleeding edge. He maintains a common touch effectively bridging the human and technological aspects of our culture.
He continues to search for new ways to integrate technology and ministry. This integration was major force in his Doctor of Ministry project, which transformed institutional Administration into institutional Ministry.
The Robert J. Duncan Jr. Prize is awarded annually to a Doctor of Ministry Candidate whose project thesis is singularly distinguished by creativity and innovation use of technology in Global/Online D.Min. project at Drew University.
He currently services as Core Faculty in the Global Online Doctor of Ministry Program at Drew Theological School where he was the first Graduate of Len Sweet's Dean's Fellows Doctor of Ministry Program.
His ministry experiences have included local parish ministry, non-profit management, pastoral counseling, planned giving, and development. Long-term interests in technology let to consulting contracts with over 80 medical offices for the computerization of their administrative and billing services.
Rob is a retired United Methodist Minister and retired President and Professor of Religion at Bacone College located in Muskogee, OK.
In his retirement he has launched Northwind Institute and serves as the Executive Director of the Sarasota Academy Certified Temperament Life Coaching Program.
Northwind Institute is a Certified Academic Institution of the National Christian Counselors Association. In 2009 he received the Arno Temperament Aware at the NCCA Conference.
